My matches were such a joke. Huge event, 100+ attendees, and ended up with a “friend match” because the pool was “imbalanced.” Most people ended up leaving before the 3rd match was even released, so that goes to show how exciting the event was.

It was an interesting event. I didn't feel like I matched with the right girl for the first one but I never met my 2nd and 3rd match.

The people at the Matchbox event were diverse and fun. I got to meet people I normally wouldn’t talk to. The venue had great spaces to allow for good conversation. The hosts were polite and professional, making sure we got drinks and home safely. I would attend again.

The match part of the evening took too long to start. An hour and a half in is too late and then it didn’t start on time.

There was significantly more woman than men which resulted in “friend matches” of women to women, which is not the point of the event. The matchmaking also did not run on time, it was supposed to start at 8:30 and didn’t start until 8:45-8:50.

It was a fun event but for my experience an ice breaker at the start needs to be there. Larger venue and so communication isnt difficult.

It was a let down that I have to be matched with my friend who I went there with just because there were not enough people in the pool that matches my preferences. It was a waste of money to be having that kind of result with the purpose of being matchmade. I think it’ll be better to have the survey taken a day or two prior to the event to get more value and better matchmaking. It felt like I paid AI to match me yesterday and it sucks big time

No particular remark about the host - it felt like the whole thing was run via text message, and I honestly don't remember seeing or hearing from the host. The AI-assisted matchmaking was a total bust. It profiled me as 'traditional' when that is the farthest thing from the truth - I think because I indicated that I am not down for polyamory - and cited that in all three of the match explanations. Matches were very boring. Disaster.

Honestly speaking, this ai system was poorly done. This felt like a surface level matching experience. It would’ve been more worthwhile have more in depth questions ahead of time, and to answer it prior to the event than to do it on spot. Also, with some of the questions I don’t think it really gave any insight to any ideals. I think preferences in a person would be beneficial to the matches at it could appeal in multiple angles

99% of men at this event were creepy, misogynistic, non-relatable, unhygienic, uneducated, on the spectrum, and arrogant manchildren. My match was the complete opposite of me and extremely creepy, thus I left the event quickly. Same thing occurred with my girlfriends with their matches. Unfortunately, I will never do these events ever again. As soon as I left the event, the men were a lot better upstairs at Greta. At least I got good laughs with my girlfriends.
