I was pleasantly surprised. Once the matching started, it was very social. I think getting rid of the majority of sitting areas would help people mingle more & allow the groups more room so you can meet more of your potential matches.

The crowd was an good group but I found it lacked the structure needed to mingle and truely meet individuals. When the match portion occurred there was much confusion as to where to go, which group you where apart of and it was a struggle to find your match. It was a good event but could benefit from more structure.

My matches were such a joke. Huge event, 100+ attendees, and ended up with a “friend match” because the pool was “imbalanced.” Most people ended up leaving before the 3rd match was even released, so that goes to show how exciting the event was.

The people at the Matchbox event were diverse and fun. I got to meet people I normally wouldn’t talk to. The venue had great spaces to allow for good conversation. The hosts were polite and professional, making sure we got drinks and home safely. I would attend again.

There was significantly more woman than men which resulted in “friend matches” of women to women, which is not the point of the event. The matchmaking also did not run on time, it was supposed to start at 8:30 and didn’t start until 8:45-8:50.

Overall it was pretty solid. The venue was great, the people who showed up were interesting. Met some cool people to talk with. The questionnaire was a bit light and didn't really get to many critical questions. My match was not super great, I think mostly because the questionnaires prompts were a bit ambiguous. Also, as they warn you, the questionnaire doesn't really care about physical attraction (which I think should at least be part of it?)

It was pretty well organized and structured. However, I would recommend stressing to attendees to really pay attention to the questionnaire as it effects who you matched with. My personal match was terrible and he did admit that he just selected middle ground to all the answers and didnt pay much attention to them and one of the people I met that night admitted that they didnt pay attention last time and had bad experience so he was back to give it a better shot with thoughtful answers.

The event needs to re-organise. It is on weekday and people have work next day. Instead of waiting 7 to 8:30 and then to begin matching is a waste of a time. Within half an hour the games and grouping should begin. People should have more opportunity to meet many differences people. Overall, it was awkward experience. Also your matching didn't work at all.

Went to the Thursday mystery matchmaking event and honestly it was a waste of money. I would not recommend it and I will not come again. The matching algorithm clearly did not work. I got matched with a male name and that person was not even at the venue that night. Two of my friends also got matched with the same gender, and we all answered the questions properly. When we talked to the host she just said sorry, she did not know what happened, and told us to just mingle around. That was awkward because everyone else was busy talking to their actual match. It also took 40 minutes to get our drink order. Drinks were good but way too expensive for what you get. Paid for something I got zero value from.

The event didn’t meet my expectations, and I received a platonic match despite attending to meet potential romantic partners. Jenna told me at the event to email her for the free ticket code for a future event. I followed her instructions and emailed multiple times, but received no response. It’s frustrating when organizers make promises but don’t follow through. Better communication and customer service are needed.

It was a bad experience by getting matched with a women when I was looking g for a male ,it was a waisted night by not getting a drink or dinner with it for the price of $31.50 is ridiculous, there were more women then men there and I think at young ages , was very disappointing and I do t think I would ever do this again especially for the price I paid was stupid , I have never been to one of these before and was expecting something different .

It was a let down that I have to be matched with my friend who I went there with just because there were not enough people in the pool that matches my preferences. It was a waste of money to be having that kind of result with the purpose of being matchmade. I think it’ll be better to have the survey taken a day or two prior to the event to get more value and better matchmaking. It felt like I paid AI to match me yesterday and it sucks big time

No particular remark about the host - it felt like the whole thing was run via text message, and I honestly don't remember seeing or hearing from the host. The AI-assisted matchmaking was a total bust. It profiled me as 'traditional' when that is the farthest thing from the truth - I think because I indicated that I am not down for polyamory - and cited that in all three of the match explanations. Matches were very boring. Disaster.

Honestly speaking, this ai system was poorly done. This felt like a surface level matching experience. It would’ve been more worthwhile have more in depth questions ahead of time, and to answer it prior to the event than to do it on spot. Also, with some of the questions I don’t think it really gave any insight to any ideals. I think preferences in a person would be beneficial to the matches at it could appeal in multiple angles

99% of men at this event were creepy, misogynistic, non-relatable, unhygienic, uneducated, on the spectrum, and arrogant manchildren. My match was the complete opposite of me and extremely creepy, thus I left the event quickly. Same thing occurred with my girlfriends with their matches. Unfortunately, I will never do these events ever again. As soon as I left the event, the men were a lot better upstairs at Greta. At least I got good laughs with my girlfriends.
