The crowd are quite nice. More female than male. Should have a great chat with strangers even they are not your match. Might be confusing for the first time because of very minimal control and announcement from the host. The venue might be a little bit too crowded.

Not only this but out of the three matches I was matched the the same person twice and the third we did not vibe at all. Overall, it was a fun concept but the matching was not accurate at all which was disappointing.

This special event only provides 1 match at midnight. It's very inconvenient as some people left before the time of the matching came through. I couldn't see my match as the person was long gone and bot replying the messages. It was very disappointing as it charged more than usual but only with 1 match and with that experience.

It would have greatly improved the experience to have a host guiding us through the event. Unfortunately, we were left waiting at the venue for an hour before the AI matching began, with no one providing direction. Similarly, during the ‘find your partner’ process, there was no host present to facilitate or support participants.

This is not a reflection of the host but I don’t think Hong Kong is the best city for these types of events. You have an uneven ration of women to men and also the population of HK is 99% local Hong kongers so this is not suitable for expats. Market dynamics in Hong Kong are one of the worst in a developed city.

The venue is cosy and intimate which suits the occasion, I have met great people there. But I wish the host have put in more effort than just a questionnaire to match us, and according to the schedule we should find three matches and turned out there’s only one and the host left mid-way. As an introvert I put on my most extroverted mask to be able to meet more than one person. Which truly, exhausted me.

I don't know which host you're talking about because there was no facilitating throughout the event. If there was, he/she did not show any presence nor was felt at all throughout. Me and my friend just went in, checked-in with the door person, then everything was just left in the air it felt like. There was also a promise of 3 matches and many complained and looked for the other 2 because everyone I heard from only got one. It would also have been a bit better to have some base to talk about if we could've reviewed the questions from the survey, just to give a little boost for the participants.

Some of the AI matching questions were difficult to understand, it was not clear what the question was referring to. I like how the question about trying new food had an “information” notation, more of those indications could be added in for other questions as well to elaborate. The atmosphere was casual and easygoing, since people were there ready to meet others, all of them had good vibes. The matching somehow is not aligned to the purpose of being there. I suppose the intention of the event is for participants to find a relationship partner (rather than friendship) of the gender of one’s preference, somehow out of 3 matches, all 3 were friend matches for my friends that I came along with. The fact of more females than males, does not mean 1 male always match with a female, it could be programmed that 2 females could match with 1 male at the same round. Overall the event had a good vibe, drinks were acceptable.

All of my matches are the same gender as me. I expected to meet at least one opposite sex in this matching event so I felt a bit disappointed. However, I had a good chat with the girls and our vibes were good matches at least. Also, the event was hosted during dinner time starting 7:30pm. I expected there might be some food and drinks inclusive in that HK$200, however none. We needed to pay by ourselves and the drinks are very expensive!

Hosts should make a more concerted effort to ensure there is a balanced ratio - the event my friend and I attended had a 3:1 girl:guy ratio. We bumped into a friend at the event who told us the host last minute called him to ‘help a friend out’ because there was way too many women. With there being a cost component attached to the event I would say it was really poorly run.

I’ve been to three of the dating events now. The first two were passable but I don’t really know what I’m paying for? The cost is very high to just go to a bar.. there’s not even a free drink included. I also was ‘unmatched’ on the second occasion on the AI matchmaking. Tonight’s at Migas was by far the worst. The ratios of women to men is not acceptable considering it’s a dating event. It was around 4/5 women to 1/5 men. All of my AI matches were women. This is not what I signed up for or paid for.

The explanation of the event was not clear. It’s better to mention no food or drinks would be included. Basically just an event to mingle…and the host didn’t do much as a host. There was a very big imbalance of the female/male ratio and I ended up getting 2/3 female matches which I found ridiculous. It’s better for the host to control the ratio and screen the people who join. I would not recommend this event to my friends based on my experience.

I think the venue split into two places kind of separate two group of people. If the venue is big enough while the host interact with all the participants would be more interesting and bringing people together more. Also the evening turned into the gender in proportionate. More female than male ratio. There is no really fun vibe. People when they arrived they all gathered at the bar table to get drinks, with the three draws people tend to go to the match (if opposite gender) but amongst my gfs group of three. All of our matches in 3 rounds are all girls. Surprise surprise.
