The venue was nice! The event was cool! My only complaint is that I answered on my questionnaire that I like to go to the gym, but all of my matches were overweight women???

The venue was good - nice atmosphere, easy to find. I liked the folks I met, and I made a connection with one of my matches. I would have liked more time to mingle after the pairings but the bar became too loud and crowded by the end of the event. Overall, a very good experience.

I thought it was a bit cliquey, but the hosts themselves were great.

My only feedback is for an event this big where the overwhelming majority of people who aren't apart of the group are attending, please, please, state where your going to be meeting at in the location ahead of time. As I couldn't find you guys and was very close to giving up, had I not seen your email response

The event was good and I enjoyed it. But the price tag is too high for what you get. I've been to other speed dating events and it's usually no more than $25 bucks. At $40, it gets expensive. I think the inclusion of a drink should be optional, there are people who don't drink who would prefer to pay less for the ticket and not drink alcohol.

This is going to (possibly) make me sound like a *** xD haha, but the music was too loud (you had to yell at others in order to be heard by them). I'm also wondering if something more like speed dating (but with more than 5 minutes per person) would work better for a dating event, although, depending on the number of attendees, that could end up taking a long time..so maybe just speed dating then, with the ability to "match"/indicate interest or exchange contact info after the event. With that said, I did appreciate the intention and spirit of the event - getting people together in person for the purpose of finding that special someone. The excitement of meeting people in person was definitely in the air and the host was also a nice and friendly guy. Overall, it was actually a fun event, but I think a different format might've been more effective for the purposes of dating (as opposed to just having a good time), with the music not being too loud of course lol.

This event looked like it was going to be well-planned and curated, but it felt like an undergrad club ice breaker night. There was no consistent dress code and so you had people in suits and people in hoodies, and the event was in the middle of another group’s party. It was just awkward, uncomfortable, and a really disappointing experience for $40.

I was disappointed with DMV Experiences’ Matchbox event due to poor execution and disorganization. The woman handing out name tags was unnecessarily patronizing, telling me not to “hide in the corner” and instructing me how to wear my name tag, which immediately put a bad taste in my mouth before the event even started. The event did not follow what was outlined in the email. Guests were split into groups with no explanation, and the grouping made no sense since matches weren’t even within those groups. We were essentially corralled into awkward, unstructured interactions with little guidance, which felt more like forced icebreakers than a dating experience. While I enjoyed my matches, the overall event was poorly run, and the hosts seemed disorganized. Not something I’d rush to attend again.
