The Thursday mixer was in held in a nice venue, was well run, attracted a congenial 50/50 mix of men and women. They used the Match Box questionnaire to name your potential matches, provided conversation starters and encouraged getting to know others. Very enjoyable evening.

Loved being able to attend an event with people in my age group (46-65)!!! There are not a lot of them and it’s nice to find new friends! Please do more events for the older age groups! Most of us enjoy meeting people in person and find the online dating world very daunting.

The matchmaking event was awesome! It was intriguing to see who I was matched up with based on similar values, they were people that I probably wouldn’t have talked to otherwise. I wish more people would come to these events for even higher possibilities of matches. I’ll definitely be going to another one!

This venue felt a bit like a cafeteria. Because of the small space it was loud and hard to hear what people were saying. The last two events had more women than men. We need to get better ratios to make it more enjoyable. I also recommend that you have people identify who they came with. I had a friend match with my friend. 😁

Bry is an amazing host and her events are a blast and well organized. The only drawback is that women always outnumber men at her events!! Unfortunately, I keep finding myself getting the short end of the stick at these events because I either don’t get matched at all or get Friend matches (meaning matched with other women). I’m going to keep attending but I hope things turn around for me there.

This event was fun. The match making questions were deep (and I really appreciated that all matches were present!), the hints and suggested ice breakers were good, and I felt safe and had fun. I do feel a little hesitant about potential matches being given my phone number automatically and wish there was a way to message within the app to find each other at the event, then allow me to decide to give my number later, but otherwise I thought this was fun, safe and interesting.

Bry hosted a really fun event with Matchbox! She is so sweet and inclusive and really does want to help others find their “match”. Her events are always well ran and in fun venues. I would highly recommend going to one of her events. In particular this Matchbox event was exciting with the potential to find 3 compatible romantic matches or at the very least a platonic friendship! The countdown clocks on the Matchbox site made each match reveal exciting! The anticipation of it was all a lot of fun!

The host/ team did a great job organizing! I felt the women I saw were putting in a bit more effort than men from my observations, but maybe that was limited to my experience or the assortment that arrived. Nice variety of people. The setup definitely made it easier to mingle. I think the space was tricky because a lot of people were getting overwhelmed in the walkway section during the 3 rounds. The event itself was poorly designed for meaningful connection. The venue was loud and crowded, and while the host was welcoming, the underlying model felt transactional. People were effectively paying for brief, high-pressure interactions rather than genuine conversation. The first match demonstrated low engagement and poor etiquette, spending a significant portion of our limited time interacting with another participant and exchanging contact information. She also left the event early, which signaled a lack of genuine interest despite exchanging numbers. The second match had an unconventional personal lifestyle and emotional profile that did not align with the stability and long-term orientation I am looking for. Observing her later in a different social setting reinforced the impression that her behavior during the event was performative rather than authentic. Will not recommend this event to others. You’re better off meeting people at a coffee shop instead.
