The gender ratio was incredibly off. Age range might have been way too vast. I did appreciate there being an activity - fragrance bar that naturally fed itself to an ice breaker.

They didn’t even have romantic matches for me, and they said that it’s because there wasn’t enough people my age. On top of that, I didn’t get a refund! I would not recommend this venue to anyone.

I thought it was gonna be a 25 and up event. And I’m 30 but my matches were younger than 25 so I was very confused as to why they were even there.

My first match was the best but I didn’t know how to go back with her because in the end I was spending time with the last match and it was the worst for me, then my match left the place with a guy who was not part of the group she met him before to start the game just talking

Also, met first with friend match and we all just talked for a long time, so would have liked to see the event move a little quicker. This was advertised as a singles event. Everyone had the understanding that it was meant for dating. The tickets sales were even broken into Male and Female tickets. The matching questions asked for our sexual orientation. I think it is obvious that it WAS meant to be a dating match event. However, there were only 5 men but about 25 women. So, most people only received same sex matches.

The Masquerade Match was a fun and unique concept. The event was well organized, the host was welcoming, and the atmosphere made it different from a typical singles event. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet and talk with different people throughout the night. There are a few aspects of the format that I think could be improved, but overall it was an interesting experience and I would consider attending another event in the future.

For future events, I would recommend reviewing the matching system, clearly explaining what each match represents, and possibly grouping people more intentionally according to relationship preferences and life experiences. It may also help to remind participants that divorce, widowhood, or other past relationships should not be treated as automatic disqualifiers. A brief opening message encouraging curiosity, respect, and emotional maturity could make the environment feel safer for everyone. Overall, the event was not bad. It succeeded in getting people off the couch, into the room, and talking to one another. That alone has real value. With a few improvements to the matching process and the way expectations are set, I believe it could become an even stronger experience.

The event was okay. I have attended one other dating event through a different company and enjoyed that experience far more. This event seemed kind of unstructured which is not really my vibe. I don’t know if the questions really got at who I am…which is fine because that could come out in discussion how we it was really difficult to hear (music was great though). I like the group concept but not so much the real time match generator. I guess it wasn’t speed dating so managing my expectations was important. Anyway may try another event, may not.
