Really cool experience, lots of laughs and good memories all in one night. Hosts were Acceptionally kind, outgoing, and charismatic. Would love to attend another Matchbox event anytime

Major deal breakers are animals , and food preferences. Is were never asked, and my matches were completely incompatible with me because they had cats and I’m allergic to cats.

I enjoyed that most my year. I joined the match, but I would not like to be matched with a guy. I am not gay. I would like to be matched with a girl that’s what I came there for you matched me with another guy and I did not like that it was a waste.

This event was so unique and intentional. I loved receiving my 3 matches and having deep conversations with them during the event.

I had fun, the matches that I had were great to talk to.

You don’t want me writing a public review. They promised 3 curated matches for everyone attending. Out of 3 - 2 were women for my girlfriend and 1 was for me. They should have let us know and refunded the money. I would not ever suggest this for anyone especially at that cost. A complete joke!

Worth checking out.

I had never attended a matchmaking event before, so I was a bit hesitant going in. Curiosity won out and I’m glad it did. The event exceeded my expectations. I met thoughtful, interesting people, and even if I didn’t meet my person, I’d still happily stay friends with several of them because of the quality of the crowd. Overall, great experience and I look forward to Katie’s next event.

The questionnaire used for the matchmaking event felt incomplete and poorly designed, which ultimately impacted the quality of the matches. While several questions focused on whether religion was important (for example, whether someone prays daily or values their religion), the questionnaire never actually asked what religion a person practices. This creates obvious gaps - two people could indicate that faith is central to their lives, yet practice entirely different religions, which may or may not be compatible. Without that context, it’s unclear how meaningful those matches can really be. Additionally, the questionnaire did not ask for basic matching preferences, such as age range or life stage. As a result, I was matched with someone nearly ten years younger than me. We are in very different phases of life, and this is not a match I would have opted into had preferences been considered.

I attended a Match Box event after purchasing a $100 ticket, and while I understand the invitation noted “young professionals,” the event also advertised three curated matches (with the possibility that one could be a “friend match”). Unfortunately, two of my three curated matches were women, which was disappointing and not aligned with the intent of why I attended. I also found the overall matching experience fell short of expectations for a paid, curated service. The overall experience felt poorly managed and misaligned with what was advertised, and I left disappointed in the value and basic screening provided for the cost. I’m sharing this feedback so future attendees—especially those outside the primary age range which should be clearly stated in years, have clearer expectations, and so Match Box can consider improving how it communicates and delivers matches based on stated preferences.
