The crowd and vibe was great. The matchmaking was ok, but I’d rather meet people in person or at least get a vibe check. On paper we matched but the attraction wasnt there and so it kind of made me Feel like I was missing out on others while talking to the person that I “matched” with.

Definite room for improvement: tickets should be sold to half men and half women, since the ratio was once again very poor for straight singles at this event. Match questions should include politics, and more specific interests. Crowd should not be divided into four groups that mostly stick to themselves! Foster as much movement as possible, greatest number of new interactions.

Overall, the event turned out to be a fun time. Long bar line. The turnout was great. It did seem like there was an overwhelming amount of women compared to the men, but I don’t know if that’s actually true, because when it came time for the matches, it did seem like most people were paired off. Speaking of matches, the format of the event was through clues: you would be given a clue, and then be asked to go to a certain area to meet people similar to you, with an adjective of what you should look for in a person. Ultimately, what was disappointing about this event, was that I never found my match. I was given a name and searched high and low, but did not find them for over an hour. However, I did meet a lot of wonderful other people, and so therefore the event was not a loss.

I met a great group of girls at the event, but out of the group I met only one of us matched well with who we were paired with. My match did not have any of the qualities that I was given as clues. Overall, I’m glad I went to new meet friends but the event was definitely not a success. I also would have liked to give my preferred a range. The venue didn’t have enough bartenders, which meant that you were often standing in line to get a beverage instead of mixing and mingling.

The host and venue were both excellent. The format itself was confusing, which set an anxious tone for the night. I arrived just before start time and only learned afterward that sign-in happened in a line outside. Matching was listed for 8:00, but the message came closer to 8:20 and was a vague clue. A name followed later, but it was never clear how many matches to expect or what came next. When I did find my match, he was already mid-conversation with someone else and when he eventually talked to me, stayed disengaged and cut the conversation short awkwardly when he went to talk to another girl instead he had been checking out, which felt awful. Improvements that would help: • Level-set format • Offer more than one match • Add a time limit on conversations so people can exit gracefully Without that structure, the evening ran mostly as a mixer, which is an experience available at any bar for free. For the ticket price, I expected more.

The algorithm used is AI and stupid. It let's you know how many possible matches you have but you either match with none of them or 1. Instead of it showing you like the top 3 possibility. Additionally, if there's an uneven amount of people then you don't get a match but a "friend match". Absolute waste of time for romance BUT if you're social enough you'll make a good amount of new friendships so not a total loss. Still waiting for my free tickets for the next event per the refund policy.
