The event was interesting and the venue was good but the area for the mingling was too crowded and after a point it was difficult to hear each other while talking.

Definitely leans towards an older crowd and I would say that the men were a little forward like asking my dating history in the first breath. I think this event is geared towards late twenties early thirties.
Anna
The bar could have made so much more money if the bar tenders were more attentive. Also, I understand that more girls sign up for events like this, but it almost seemed 70/30 girls to guys.

Had a really great time getting to know my matches!! I also met some new friends and loved that the matches were based upon values rather than physicality.

Didn't have a fun time. Didn't even get to meet my "match", they did not respond. The event was also not very well organized. Imbalanced. Much prefer a traditional speed dating event that is more structured to this.

Felt like I got scammed… y’all pulled the rug out from under us… Thursday night and it was disorganized, hosts barely communicated anything. I had an amazing first time with Thursday dating and the two additional events I’ve been to have been super disappointing. Rip off comes to mind

I really dislike how little time was given to connect with my first match before having to move on to a different match. i felt that i was starting to hit it off with the match, and then before i knew it, we already had to switch people so i didn’t really have the chance to get her number or instagram.

Great venue and I liked the setup. Was a bit challenging when people didn’t meet their potential matches and there was an imbalance of more men than women. Had a better time talking organically with others than the prompts/group chats — maybe that’s just me. The hosts were great and everyone who attended had great energy. Would sign up again.

The venue was too small and the room was too crowded. It was loud at times and hard to talk to people. I felt it was overpriced for what you got. There were no icebreakers and the age bracket was not well defined. Also these events should be free of single parents in my opinion.

I was not matched with a man. Bc the algorithm didnt work, I was matched with a woman and encouraged to become friends. I was not there to make friends-and the gal I was matched with was hitting on the bartender all night. I did meet very nice ppl, everyone was age appropriate, but I was not impressed by the matching process.

A lot of people laughed, and the host was half an hour late so it wasn’t the greatest as usual

The app does not really work
carlos
It was very unorganized nobody know who was who it was like a free-for-all it needs to be a little bit more structured
Victor
I think the whedj

A lot of women for the men. Not great qualities of matches. No activities to socialize. I don’t recommend it
Barbi
Great venue

There are a lot of glitches, like none of my matches found me
Kathryn
I said I was interested in men and most of my matches were women.

Venue was nice, crowd was diverse, but the Matchbox matching format missed the mark. People held off exchanging numbers waiting to see what the "event" even was, so it felt anticlimactic, and some left before getting matched. There should be 3-4 matches per person, not just 1, to force more mingling. If you're doing a mobile component, include everyone's first name + photo so people can "like" them post-event if the exchange didn't happen live. It was unclear whether to exchange numbers upfront or wait for facilitation, and there was zero in-room announcement — just texts, so it felt unorganized. Also, requiring both a QR code AND a survey for entry was a mistake — send that in advance so we're not standing around on our phones instead of interacting face-to-face.

I rushed to get to the event by the start time only to find it's a regular mingling event for the first 2 hours. After finishing the quiz upon arrival, many of us wondered when the matching part would start. It wasn't until literally 2 hours later. I heard that a previous event gave everyone 3 different matches, but this event only gave people 1 match. I wasn't thrilled with my match. The event idea seemed like a nice concept. The quiz was OK, but the execution of the event wasn't that great. They should've clarified the format of the event; that for the first 2 hours, you're on your own to just mingle. We were at a nice restaurant, probably could've ordered food to eat before we got matched. There wasn't much direction from the host at all. After matching, the host went around collecting the boxes on the tabletops. They had random date questions in them. No one mentioned them - most people didn't even notice the boxes. So, neat concept, poor execution. The venue was nice though.

Unfortunately, this event had more women than men, so two out of my three matches were friendship matches with other women. My one match with a man was weird, and I didn’t feel like we were compatible at all (or maybe we are but he’s a terrible conversationalist). He didn’t even make an effort to find me! The evening felt a little chaotic. It was a long time to fill out the questionnaire and mingle before getting our matches. And then when we get texted to go to groups, the groups were so clustered together that it was hard to differentiate them, and then impossible to find who our matches are. There was also a lack of enthusiasm from many men and women to search out their matches. Our host didn’t seem to help facilitate at all. As with many of these singles events, I end up meeting such lovely, smart, accomplished, beautiful, and interesting women. Sadly, the men were duds, mainly because they weren’t putting very little, if any, effort into the experience.

Tiny dots for the gender you’re interested in was a terrible idea. They kept coming off or sticking in your hair. Just was a bad idea. They should’ve done colored wristbands for the gender you’re interested in. They had wristbands, but had no value to the wristband. One of the matches that I matched with supposedly was wearing a wedding band because two other girls that match with him met him later two guy matches that I was matched with weren’t even there and not responsive ..there weren’t enough seats for the groups so people just wandered around and matches were very hard to find ..should’ve had name tags that would’ve made life so much easier.. probably should’ve included intro drink or past appetizers .. other events cost around the same and they actually give you a drink and appetizers ..Way more women then men and felt like a waste of my night.. chaotic and disorganized and 2 hours before you get a match is excessive. A 35+ event on a week night should been more time friendly.
Katie
We should have been able to fill out questions ahead of time so that we could get with our matches earlier. I know the idea is to promote “IRL organic mingling,” but tbh the mingling was way too long and 9/930 is too late for a lot of us to get down to business. Also ratio was way off of guys vs girls and selection for guys was trash :( it’s as if the apps were just thrown into a bar for one evening. More girls than guys, and girls were on average 7s and selection of guys were like 2s. Which speaks moreso to where we are at as a society sadly I suppose.
