the event seemed like a great idea but the white lies / matching aspect fell really short for me. i think it was bc of a lack of advertising, but I didn’t even get romantically matched up due to the small turnout. Great idea, execution needs work

problem was so little people showed up. next time can there specifically be a sapphic one ? and mask-required because we r in an ongoing pandemic

The part about the T-Shirts was confusing. It said to show up in a blank T-shirt, but I believe we were supposed to already write on it?

Too many few people, three matches is not enough. Also watching a movie isnt the best to talk to people
Hector
The quantity of people shouldn’t be limited, only 12 guys showed up, and the space was empty.

I attended a speed dating event in where they cut your first - and what was supposed to be optimal - match short, giving only 5 minutes to get to know each other. This was also poorly attended with too big of an age range, so the chances of you meeting someone who is in the same place in life as you is slim to none.

I enjoyed the event in theory. But it was not advertised enough, Rooftop cinema club and Match box have hundreds of thousands of followers but they were only able to get less then 20 queer people together for a dating event. The advertising was not there, before the event I went to look at both of the event coordinators social media there was nothing about the event. I thought this was a for-profit business.

It was not what I paid for! I was paying for a lgbtg+ speed dating event and I’m a gay male and they gave me three female lesbian matches: i didn’t conect with any of them and it was really awkward. I felt embarrassed and not welcome. I really was disappointed in the outcome of this event. It was my first real experience with gay dating and it made me feel insecure and uncomfortable: the movie and staff was good but the experience was not anything i paid for or wanted

The event consisted of maybe 15 people, where some left before the event even began. I personally want a refund, and would strongly suggest cancelling/rescheduling an event with such low ticket sales, so those who end up attending do not feel as though their time and money were wasted. The event also stated “waitlist” 2 days before the event, meanwhile it was nowhere near full/busy.

I was really disappointed to be honest. There were maybe 10 men and 10 women at this speed dating event, which isn’t enough. They also had really bad timing that didn’t match the event description. It said there would be 15 min of small group, then three dates that were 15 min each. There was no small group time and the first date was five minutes max. Also there’s no option to put people down you don’t want to match with, so two out of the three speed dates were with my friends who came to the event with me. Super disappointing. If they couldn’t get enough people they should’ve cancelled, and it’s crazy that cost me $35.
