There should be a question asked about age range. I feel it makes situations uncomfortable when you have two people match but there is a 15-20 year gap. Makes everyone feel awkward

The event and venue were lovely. It was a nice space to meet and talk with new people. I think for the ticket price, we should have been given one glass of wine. Or if no wine is included, I think the ticket should be cheaper.

I really appreciated having an outside, courtyard area to get some air or take a minute for myself. It meant a lot that we weren’t confined to the venue’s one room. The venue itself didn’t have food, so it was great there was a bar next door that did.

Biggest thing was that the questions dealt much more with personal morals (monogamy, career orientation, etc) rather than personality, likes and dislikes, etc. I think a mix of both would really enhance the actual match you get at the end of the day.

The host did a perfect job to keep it organized and fun, just the actual guest didn't want nor put effort into the process of how the matchbox works. This is not the host or the fault of the system just how people are and chose to ignore the chance of meeting someone new versus the chance of the now

If you're extroverted enough, you can definitely enjoy this event. There was lots of mingling, drinks, and space to hang. BUT if you have a hard time approaching someone, this event is a no-no. Other than the actual matching part, there isn't really a way to start conversations with anyone. Great idea but it needs a little work on the execution.

Vibe was chill, was expecting more people than there was. Guy to girl ratio leaned heavily to more guys than girls. Matchmaking survey was a good survey on paper but I noticed not many people put much effort into it due to it taking too long.

The matchbox event was fun. I felt like they should do the matching early because many found people early and didn’t want to look for their matches. I would have preferred to meet my match early and if no vibe then move to meet others… also, there needs to be a wider age group. This one was very young, great for the 20-30 group. For the match events they should definitely be geared by age. But I like the idea of it. It was nice to have happy hour pricing all night, but not enough servers.

I loved the match box event (compared to another one I went to that didn’t to the match box). I like that first we were broken into a ground of like 15 people.. it gave us a chance to all talk and have a purpose of trying to figure something out. Our group absolutely bonded. Once we got into the small group there was absolutely no awkwardness and connection happened easily. I would say the one area for improvement is the connection prompts and the initial questions for the matching could have been better and less repetitive. Beyond that I loved this!!

Came in on a whim and had a mostly nice time. Was pleasantly surprised by the crowd, actually some cute guys. The quiz questions weren’t the best for gauging my personality, but I had a fun time. I just wish the bar menu had some better food options, the drinks were strong and shishito peppers did not help balance them out.

Loved the vibes and the event was really fun. A few pointers : music was too loud to hear anybody, questions could’ve been a little deeper I think my match wasn’t as accurate as it was. Overall great event, great host. Shout out to Marie, you did such a great job and had such a lovely safe energy. Will be coming back just for her!! As a fellow girlie thank you for making it safe!!

If there's a way to have the questions touch a bit more on personal tastes (in addition to the questiond the survey already had on personal values) somehow, I think that'd be super useful in making more of a potential match amongst everyone in the venue. The person I was ultimately matched with had absolutely no taste overlap with me, they seem to live more of a preppy kind of life and Im more alternative. No doubt in my mind that we shared a lot of values, but on first glance we knew it wasnt going to be anything. We talked for about 5 minutes before I went and returned to talking with this other girl that I had far more of immediate mutual chemistry with. I understand that these things are extremely difficult to capture in a survey, just throwing my two cents in. Thank you for the fun night!

I always enjoy these! I've been coming to these Matchbox events for a while now. I've been to four. I come back both fortunately and unfortunately—"unfortunately" because I'm still single, but "fortunately" because I always feel like it was a good night by the end of it. This is 100% better than dating apps. One thing that is unanimous with everyone I talk to is that the age range should absolutely be smaller. Ten-year age groups would be MUCH more preferable (21-30, 31-40... you get it). So many people I know have stopped coming (or shown up hesitantly) simply because their matches could be ten years older/younger than them. I just turned 27, and I'd rather have a group of 50 people in their 20s over a group of 200 with people from 21-100. I think everyone agrees with this.

This was a very fun social experiment that I have never done before. You were able to mingle for the first 2 hours with a menu of discounted drinks while the host evaluated your responses to a survey and matched you with someone you align with. Sadly, I witnessed some people get hurt because their match did not want to meet them. Despite not clicking with my match, I made a lot of friends and that was honestly better than the match.
