When I purchased the ticket, the event was very clearly for ages 40-55. When I showed up, men's ages ranged from 22-40 and women's, from 27-47. Every woman I encountered was disappointed.

Came in on a whim and had a mostly nice time. Was pleasantly surprised by the crowd, actually some cute guys. The quiz questions weren’t the best for gauging my personality, but I had a fun time. I just wish the bar menu had some better food options, the drinks were strong and shishito peppers did not help balance them out.

This was fun and unique. I thought the questionnaire was good. I could see why me and my matched were matched. It was fun to meet other people as well. It was just freezing cold and only two really small fires. We thought the event said there would be heating torches and there weren’t any.

Loved the vibes and the event was really fun. A few pointers : music was too loud to hear anybody, questions could’ve been a little deeper I think my match wasn’t as accurate as it was. If there's a way to have the questions touch a bit more on personal tastes (in addition to the questiond the survey already had on personal values) somehow, I think that'd be super useful in making more of a potential match amongst everyone in the venue. The person I was ultimately matched with had absolutely no taste overlap with me, they seem to live more of a preppy kind of life and Im more alternative. No doubt in my mind that we shared a lot of values, but on first glance we knew it wasnt going to be anything. We talked for about 5 minutes before I went and returned to talking with this other girl that I had far more of immediate mutual chemistry with. I understand that these things are extremely difficult to capture in a survey, just throwing my two cents in. Thank you for the fun night!

I always enjoy these! I've been coming to these Matchbox events for a while now. I've been to four. I come back both fortunately and unfortunately—"unfortunately" because I'm still single, but "fortunately" because I always feel like it was a good night by the end of it. This is 100% better than dating apps. One thing that is unanimous with everyone I talk to is that the age range should absolutely be smaller. Ten-year age groups would be MUCH more preferable (21-30, 31-40... you get it). So many people I know have stopped coming (or shown up hesitantly) simply because their matches could be ten years older/younger than them. I just turned 27, and I'd rather have a group of 50 people in their 20s over a group of 200 with people from 21-100. I think everyone agrees with this.

This was a very fun social experiment that I have never done before. You were able to mingle for the first 2 hours with a menu of discounted drinks while the host evaluated your responses to a survey and matched you with someone you align with. Sadly, I witnessed some people get hurt because their match did not want to meet them. Despite not clicking with my match, I made a lot of friends and that was honestly better than the match.

Questions are not really helpful In terms of meeting somebody. I’m a 28-year-old woman, I don’t wanna be matched with a 24-year-old man, we are in two different phases of life!There should be more questions about age preferences, and religious preferences. Just because I am a Christian that marks to my partner being religious, doesn’t mean I want to date someone who is of another religion.

Pretty solid! This was my third matchbox event, and I’ve learned that the best people I actually meet AREN'T my match. Not to say my matches are bad for me, but I love meeting people at these nights! There are some good people. I’d personally like it if the entire events were more age-specific, like maybe a tighter, ten-year range. 20s, 30s, and 40s-specific events all sound more ideal to me. I’d also appreciate more variety! Bars are fun, but I’d love more at Books & Books, Regatta, or maybe something like a trendy food court!

The first question should be: Did you MEET your match? Because i sure as heck did not. I have a name and that’s it. By the time I received a match, like half the attendees had left. If the purpose is to find a match, then it should be quicker - by this time, i’m sure everyone already talked to people and decided on their own. But, it was fun nonetheless.

It was incredible! It was so much fun and so enjoyable and i was literally amazed at how i didnt think the match would be perfect but it was EXACTLY my type of person down to interests not listed. Im shocked and amazed. I wish more people wore their nametags because my friend couldn’t find her match because of the name but everyone was so much fun and such a range of people.

Sorry to be so harsh but to leave on a good note and with constructive criticism the hostess was not really present in the event. In her defense she was great locating my e ticket which I could not find on my considerately organized email box. Rather than that, I’m reproducing what I heard from other attendants and we were not impressed and mainly confused on how to mingle with no guidance until much later in the evening. I’m my humble opinion y’all need somebody with PR experience. I personally used to host singles and mingles through out a 5 year career on cruise ships and I asure you that we were encouraged to socialize with the guest. I would be delighted to try out for a job in your organization. We need Ice breaking people to host. Thank you so much for putting the event together. Cheers 🥂
