I feel like it would’ve been better if more women showed up. Also I think most people didn’t come because it was going to rain so that could’ve been the culprit. I did meet new people and it was good to meet a stranger.

Like 12 people showed up. It was not evenly matched. Only 3 females. Drove from the north side of Dallas to try it. Wasted money on parking for a dead event when I arrived. What a joke.

It was a fun time and even if you don’t find a match you still get to watch a movie on a roof. What more could you want.

It was fun and I made some new friends, but the ratio of men to women was off. Because there was a low turn out it didnt feel like a singles event and felt more like make a new friend event. I did however, enjoy the movie option at the end and the setup to get people to mingle at the beginning.

I was very impressed by the people that help with the event and the host! Even though the rain was an inconvenienced part of the event, the host was able to have a positive impact on the experience. He was upbeat and confident and brought people together! I felt comfortable and included while being around this environment!

Glad this type of thing exists.. Good for shaking off cobwebs

This was a total flop. There were over 15 women and 4 men. For a group of straight people this was a big fail. Also there was basically no structure once you were in your groups. Also not nearly enough people. It should be at least 35 ish people there. But should really be more like 50 people to have a god mix of people. Would not recommend

I was drawn to the premise of a matchmaking activity prior to a shared experience—one that, hopefully, you could spend continuing to get to know someone new and exciting during the screening. It didn't pan out that way for me, or, from the eyeball test, most of the participants, but it was an interesting dice roll regardless. The host was engaging, but the questions weren't particularly discerning... and then the icebreaker games proposed (and largely ignored) felt pretty forced. But the film was fun.

I really like Rooftop Cinema Club but I don't think it's the right spot for a singles night. You really can't talk to your match once the movie starts and the headphones go on. I think for a singles night, there shouldn't be headphones and you should have the movie on but allow people to talk/have commentary. Also, it shouldn't be open to everyone and only for singles so that way everyone in the theater is there for the event. This way we can all talk with other singles and it would be more fun that way. I also think you should get more time with matches because the time runs out too quickly. I really didn't get much time to talk to my matches and we got more time in the groups which was fun but it should have been faster within the groups and longer with matches. Overall, a fun experience but if these changes aren't made I don't think I'd do another singles night at Rooftop Cinema Club.

Im sure it wasnt the host's fault. She tried her best to get people together for the mingling part but most people decided to keep to themselves or just talk to ones who were already close to each other. I feel like the host should had us all in one designated area so we would have to mingle amongst each other. Also think we should have the location to ourselves and not have outsiders watching us. I understand they were there for the movie but who comes to watch a movie a whole hour early. They should have been told to wait downstairs and allowed to enter 30mins before the movie. It felt a little unorganized in the beginning but towards the middle and end it had more structure.
