It was a fun novelty filling out the questions and wondering who you might be matched with. Unfortunately I think there are more women attending than men, so was matched with a same sex "friend match". The organiser Jasmine is great, friendly

It was fun but the AI matching was a little jank. I don't think the questions built enough of a profile to match with a more intuitively driven dataset. It'd require some more in-depth intuiting coming from more questions, especially user-written short answers.

It would’ve been helpful if the host guided the event. There was no guidance at all, apart from the initial breeding when you arrive. Helpful would’ve been if at the indicated time, there would be an announcement on how to proceed next. You go there to talk to people, but have to be on your phone constantly checking for event updates

The Matchbox AI questions seemed more designed to get people mixing up and talking to people they maybe would not have had a chance to talk to. It had conversation starters. In terms of matches it seemed like the consensus was that you still need to have physical attraction. I also didn’t match with existing friends that were already there, that I know I get along with.

The event times were an hour later than was posted, the promoter does NOT give refunds so turnout was not as many people as there probably would of been. Would of loved if the organisers put more human touch into the event instead of using AI. The venue is very sporty so screens were switched onto sports during the event. Didn’t love having to use my phone / ai at the event.

I matched with someone platonically (I haven't been emailed my free ticket yet?), which was a little disappointing, but I suppose I'll say that it was a little odd how all the questions asked you about your values, yet there was nothing asked about what you find to be physically attractive, so even if you do match with someone romantically, they might be too old/too young for you, or you might not be attracted to them. I think if you're looking to date, then traditional speed dating might be better. A lot of the people seemed to find their own groups and stick with them -- I'm more of a "speak when spoken to" kind of person, so I found it hard to mingle with others (especially with so many people there at the venue). Managed to chat to a few convivial people, which made me feel that attending the event was worth it, but it's probably not something I'd do again. I certainly wouldn't recommend an event like this to anyone who doesn't like big groups in (relatively) small places.
