It might be more helpful to give quizzes/personality tests/etc. prior to the event so the attendees can answer more intentionally and not rushed or not distracted. Maybe a day in advance?

I think the event itself is great, but I think the rain impacted the quality. The indoor space was crowded and it was loud so it was difficult to have conversations.

This was a decent event. The location had no signage and took me twenty minutes to find. I also think about thirty minutes from the mingling period could be reduced because it’s hard to stay out late on a weekday evening.

The vibe was good, but the candidates were younger, I think ranging 21-35 years old. I think, based on what we noticed, there may have been a small handful of 40-50 year olds (maybe). We were also only matched with 1 person.

More of a meetup for singles, matchbox doesn't really work in this setting. You have to wait 2 hours for the match. Might be a good event for social people but not a fun event for introverts.

There were more women than men, some matched as friend. Creative. But some didn’t get matches at all. Great location. Older crowd doesn’t like bingo as much, kinda had to get people involved.

Could had been an issue with the algorithm or with they way I answered some of the questions.

Just attended a Matchbox mixer and had a blast! The questionnaire they had us fill out was on point, and it definitely helped them match me with someone I clicked with. We had a great chat and it was a really fun and easy way to meet new people. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a low-pressure dating event!

I get that there are more men than women, so maybe match more men to a single woman. Why are you even matching with another dude for? It’s funny the first time. Not really the 2nd time. I won’t be participating in the matchbox questionnaire again. Other than that bungalow is an awesome venue for singles events. Best beach bar in town. They have better music at the singles events than they do on the weekends!

My match was too young/ immature for me. Our ideologies and paths aligned but he didn’t like that I stay home alone some weekends and I didn’t like how he went out every weekend and only came to the event because he had nothing better to do that day. I would be open to exploring future events but there needs to be a few questions that help identify to what extent said person has progressed on their spiritual path and maturity progression first. My only critique about my match: he was too immature for me. I also met 3 girls there who experienced the same. Generally speaking girls tend to like a guy who is 5-7 years older than them, so the maturity levels align

Most women are there just for attention, not connection… I am not making this up as women tend to share their stories of why they are there. “Fresh out of a break up, not looking for real commitment” blah blah blah! Also there’s no requirement that matches actually chat, so one side always looks rude. My match was texting me while flirting with another guy. So when I found her, she was not interested in even saying hello… instead she texted me after the event asking for my instagram to see if I was popular or not. Just yuck at the mind set of too many contemporary women. No one cares about intrinsic value or genuine connections anymore.

My problem with this algorithm is that it pairs me with someone either too similar or someone who is aggressively different in the wrong ways. The first time I went to a Matchbox event, the person I matched with was too quiet and ultimately left after 20 minutes. I did put this time how I loved intellectual debate (cuz I do). But the person I matched with basically was aggressively discussing politics and society. I tried cracking a joke here and there and was utterly dismissive. I don’t know…I don’t think this is for me.

I think you should ask better questions to gauge true compatibility. I answered neutral on most of them..a lot of answers depend on situations or circumstances. The one about going to the gym or exercising. I wonder if I don't would I also be matched with someone who doesn't? Cuz maybe someone who does would be better for me to push me. I think the questions should be more about the important things. Like about lifestyle things, values, finances, attachment styles, communication styles, love languages, goals, etc.
