Edison house was such a relief volume wise. These events tend to be loud and it was nice to have a space by the pool to talk without worrying about competing noise.

The event was so fun! Got me out of my comfort zone and talking to people who I wouldn’t have met otherwise. Would definitely do it again. And bry was so nice and encouraging! The little touches like the dj/guitarist and the guy who made poems were so thoughtful/fun.

Overall the event was actually pretty good the music was a little loud that he couldn't talk to other people and it was also kind of loud but I think that's the nature of things people are just talking so they end up talking louder and over each other and just gets louder and louder.

The questions for the matchmaking were way too complex and they didn’t really make sense. I think just more asking questions about personality. What do you like to do for fun? things like that. The question just went over everyone’s head. Our generation is really simple at the end of the day.

Bry is an excellent host. She is very welcoming, does a great job in planning, and getting people to her events. I love that Bry has regular events that are specifically for queer individuals. Whether it’s matchmaking or we end up building more of a community, I appreciate Bry’s efforts.

The algorithm uses cultural names to put you at the bottom of the matching pool. I wasn’t attracted to the 2 matches out of 3. Also, this was my second and last time attending this bs.

For the price I would expect one drink included - barely passed any of the bites around before they stopped- and the questions were absurd and did nothing to start a connection. Initial ice breaker also was a miss - lasted two seconds because the match for that was the person in front of me in line.

The quiz questions were way too generic and I feel like everyone was putting 4’s on everything. We need specifics. Talk about income, talk about hobbies, education, talk about sex, physical preferences, etc. Dating is 50% physical attraction so why do all of these apps keep ignoring that in their filters?

I felt that the attendees were much better than at Edison house. However the drift lounge was so hot and loud it made it difficult to chat with your match unless you were upstairs outside. Personality wise my matches were great but we differed a lot on aspirations and employment status but had a great time!

It was fun. People where really opened to the experience. Although the questions to find my match did really get who I am. Only one question about if hobbies where super important to me but nothing about the kind of hobbies. So I got matched with people that don’t do any sports or active hobbies.

This is the 2nd, over 40, singles mingle, and at each event, the women in attendance, where very picky about who they would talk to. Not only that, but two of the three women I spoke with, that were matched up, I enjoyed what they were about, but they just basically blew me off, despite similar interests. It is obvious why many of these women are single at this age. They are not open minded, and that is quite unfortunate. For these reasons, I will no longer attend anymore of these events. I want to meet women, who have healthy attitudes about communicating, and getting to know men, further.

The event was overall well-run. I didn't particularly like that you only have 10-15 minutes with each match because you barely get past chitchat though. I came away feeling more like it'd be a better place to make male friends than find a date. Matches unfortunately weren't super specific and most of the women weren't my type.
