I was discussing that I didn’t match with a female the first time my second match was fine then she gave me a fake number then my third match I didn’t feel a connection with them
Matt
I think the questions were too vague and didn't really explore personality. I think questions centered around music, movies and hobbies might produce better matches. I vibed with someone I didn’t even match with during the group breakdowns.
Marian
This event was a lot of fun. There was a good mix of people and overall I had a good time. This event isn’t for you if you don’t like making small talk.
Abhijay
It was a fun way to meet new people but a bit disappointing at times to get a lot of friend matches due to the imbalanced gender ratios- maybe next time they should cap the tickets so there is a more even number of males/females for those looking to explore romantic connections
Jessica
This was such a great time. I would do it again. Only thing I wish is like a gentle reminder every 20 minutes or so to try and talk to someone new before the matches were revealed!!
Peter
Overall great time. I went in expecting to have fun first, matches second. Crowd was overall great, got a few numbers and will probably be back soon.
Britt
The place was packed, the event sold out. Even blend of men and women. It was mostly nerdy, tech guys. I met a lot of new girlfriends though, so it wasn’t a waste by any means. My matches were so far off from what I like, but hey I still had fun.
Roberto
I had a good time. Good music, good food, good drinks, good setup and a lot of opportunities to be social. I think the three rounds of matches was good, just hoped that more than 1 of them actually wanted to meet during the event.
Jamila
Really kool event and great group of people! The men felt more empowered to approach women and the hosts were totally friendly and accommodating. The food was great. Can’t remember my servers name but he was great. And the layout of the spot was great. The only challenge is when it gets too loud.
Jake
Well run, good turnout, good spot, solid event. Would surely recommend
Dan
These events are great! I’ve now been to 3 and am feeling more confident with speaking to women. While my matches and I haven’t vibed well yet that is the risk with dating. You just gotta go out there and give it your best. Matchbox gives you that opportunity.
Ivan
Excellent venue, excellent people, and great music albeit a bit loud (hard to talk sometimes).
Nadja
Had the best V day with the best hostesses ! highly recommend
Kasaun
It was a cool event and met some cool people. No one I would really be reaching out to again but I would defiantly do another event.
Jaleesa
This was a fun new way to connect with other singles.
Jacob
The matchmaking was late and there were two different QR codes so I missed out on matches
Jason
QR code to the compatibility questionnaire was fun. Bingo card gave a great excuse to talk to people.
Stephen
It was fun. I met and got ghosted by someone.
Brendan
The event was outnumbered by men and was very problematic
Frank
It was good but the questions and matches were not great.
Ahmad
It match me with Male multiple times
Irene
Loved getting to talk to the group and see what the AI thought of us
Ersi
It was good but the question were too bland which made the matching not work and some people were just like I’m here but no goal for anything and I’m like huh idk how I matched with that guy when I’m looking for a specific thing. I think it would be better if there’s a little more in detail question and to include preferences questions so the matchmaking could have been way better and I think also that there should be a button of some sort if u want to leave the match early or extend time with one
Sabina
The vibes were off. It was dark. There were more men than women. It just sucked.
Jamal
Tolani is a great host
Arsalan
They should have a way to regulate the ratio of men and women. The turnout was not great.
Chase
So I’m non-binary and I only got friend matches. There was an off ratio but I was one of the only ones who got 3 friend matches. I don’t have anything in common with any of them so they weren’t even good friend matches it just felt like we were the extras. And I really hit it off with some people mingling so it just felt off. I think I may have been the only nonbinary person there so when selecting the gender I got left out.
Isaiah
My issue is not specifically with the host of the event. The event itself felt… quite artificial. The questions asked by “MatchBox” were very surface level when compared to how deep they claimed to be analyzing. The email marketing was quite awful. Receiving an email from who I am assuming is the face of this group that was entirely written in Chat GPT set the tone. If the people organizing the event can’t even speak about themselves without AI telling them who they are where do they get the confidence to claim they can understand and accurately match others? Not worth the time or money in my opinion. If I did meet anyone at this event it would have purely been by chance or the virtue of us being in the same space, not a great takeaway to have post a “Match making” event.
